New Friends!

David and I added two new additions to our family today. They were an early Christmas present to me. But they don't have names yet so I'm open to suggestions. I think they're both girls and one already pinched me, I guess it was initiation. That's all. Merry Christmas!

It's April!?!? What happened?

Spending a few days in Chicago this weekend was really fun and relaxing. I wanna go back (especially to IKEA). This week has been busy but it's going well, and I might have Friday off so I'm excited about that. The snow and cold weather are yucky but today was sunny anyway and I like that. I can't wait for summer, I wanna grow a garden on my deck.

Oh, and guess what?! I got a new hermit crab from Alaina. Thanks Alaina!! His name is Mr. Squiggles. He's cool and his name fits him well. I'm hungry, I'm gonna go eat now and relieve you of reading this.

Question: Where should I work for the summer?

We experienced our first death in the family this morning:

R.I.P.
Thing 2
You will be dearly missed.

The burial will be held in the spring, once the ground thaws. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Top 10 things I've learned or confirmed in the last two weeks:

10. Money trees don't grow in MI during the winter...I really need spring to come!
9. Stuff doesn't work well when it's frozen.
8. Bills will be due even if you scare off the mailman.
7. Procrastinating doesn't change due dates.
6. Chocolate is a miracle food.
5. We may have to wait until spring to find the van key in the snowbank, but we cannot wait until spring to    DRIVE the van...this causes a dilemma
4. Girl time is a must.
3. My car is not a snowmobile; it will not climb up (or out of) the huge snowbanks on the side of our road.
2. I like being warm.
1. Never take for granted the people who love you (and pull your non-snowmobile out of the snowbank).

What have you learned in the last few weeks?
